Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza, the iconic jewel of the Mayan civilization, is a place where history and mysticism meet in perfect harmony. This ancient city, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will transport you to a time when the Mayans mastered architecture, astronomy and art like no other civilization.
During your visit, you will be captivated by monumental structures, such as the famous El Castillo pyramid, which served as a temple to the god Kukulkan. An interesting phenomenon is that during the equinox, its steps cast a shadow resembling a snake slithering down the pyramid. In addition, you can discover the Sacred Cenote, a place of ancient rituals, or the Field of Sin, where dramatic sports games were played.
Chichen Itza is not just a trip, it is a journey into the past that will reveal the secrets of one of the most advanced civilizations in the world. Get ready for an adventure full of fascinating stories and unforgettable experiences!
Distillery
One of the country's main products is tequila, and for this reason, we will begin our adventure by visiting this factory the traditional way. In the factory, you will be able to observe the process of creating this alcoholic beverage, from sowing to the final tasting of different types.
Chichen Itza
The visit will last approximately 2.5 hours. We will see the Temple of Kukulkan, where during the spring and autumn equinoxes it is possible to observe a natural phenomenon, the descent of the feathered serpent, later we will see and explain the principle of the ritual game of Pelota and also look at the Temple of the Warriors. In the past, this archaeological site was a large royal city, for this reason, a visit to the Temple of the Nuns, among others, cannot be missed.
Cenote
The third stop will be a visit to a cenote where you can swim. For the Mayans, cenotes were a sacred place because they believed it was the entrance to the underworld. There is also a restaurant built next to this cenote where you can taste various specialties of Yucatan cuisine.
Valladolid
We will end our day by visiting the colonial town of Valladolid. This city was founded on the site of a now extinct Mayan city, from whose ruins this city was built. During our stop in this city we will visit the local cathedral and the beautiful murals that are located in the city hall.
