Antigua - distillery
In the morning after breakfast we will get to know one of the most beautiful cities in Guatemala, Antigua. This city is known for being originally considered the capital of Greater Guatemala. A country that stretched from Belize to Colombia. Unfortunately, this city was built on a very tectonic site and therefore was hit by devastating earthquakes in the past, so the new capital Guatemala City began to be built not far from it. The city of Antigua will capture the heart of every traveler with its colonial style. Long cobblestone streets with many ruins of fallen cathedrals, monasteries and churches. We will walk through the streets of the city and end our stay in the city by visiting the local craft market. Then we will move to the city of Quetzaltenango and visit the local rum distillery. Guatemala is known for managing to maintain the high standard of its rums. We will learn about the history, the production process and the warehouses where the rum is left to rest before it reaches the final customer. This is followed by a final rum tasting. Santa Ana Volcano (Salvador)
In the morning after breakfast, we will depart for a trip to one of the most beautiful lakes in Guatemala, Lake Atitlán. The lake is surrounded by mountains on all sides and is said to be one of the most photographed places in Central America. We will sail on a boat across the lake and visit several local Indian villages that have not yet been destroyed by mass tourism and people here usually wear their traditional clothes. After visiting Atitlán, we will head to the borders of the smallest country in Central America, El Salvador. Accommodation in a nature reserve with a view of the wild landscape and volcanoes.
4. Day
Santa Ana Volcano - Santa Rosa de Copan (Honduras)
After breakfast, we will climb the beautiful Santa Ana Volcano, which reaches a height of up to 2300 meters above sea level. During the almost two-hour climb, we gradually discover how the landscape changes from wild to lunar landscape. Salvador is also typical for having the most volcanoes in Central America, and Santa Ana experienced its last eruption in 2005. After descending to the base camp, we will have lunch and from there we will move to the most mountainous country in Central America. The mountains cover up to 2/3 of the territory of Honduras. The highest mountain is Celaque with a height of almost 2900 meters above sea level. The way to the hotel is slow because of the mountainous landscape and we will arrive in Copán in the afternoon. 5. Day
Copán - Rio Dulce (Guatemala)
After breakfast we will move to one of the most beautiful archaeological sites left to us by the Mayan civilization, the beautiful place of Copán. The fact that it is beautiful has already been confirmed by UNESCO, which included it on its list in 1980. In the tropical jungle it will gradually spread out in front of you so that you can enjoy the beauty throughout the entire approx. Two-hour tour. We will look into the underground tunnels, beautifully preserved murals and steles scattered around this site. The discovery of the site is also colored by the sound of wild birds in the jungle. After the tour, the possibility of lunch and from there quickly sleep to Guatemala, to move to the Rio Dulce area. This area is exceptional for its thermal springs. Accommodation in a hotel on the banks of the Rio Dulce.
6. Day
Rio Dulce - Livingston - Flores (Guatemala)
After breakfast, we will sail on the Rio Dulce River. From the boat, we will see several emblematic places of the location. After a few minutes of travel, the so-called Castillo or castle will appear in the middle of the river. This mini fortress protected New Spain from attacks by Caribbean pirates and later even functioned as a prison. Then we will bathe in the thermal springs of the Rio Dulce River and end our stay with a stay in the black community of Livingston. Interestingly, the locals have their own Statue of Liberty, which they use to remember their relatives who have to work in the U.S.A. The community adheres to the principle of “take it easy”. After a tour of Rio Dulce and Livingston, we will have lunch at the port and from there transfer to the town of Flores. Accommodation in the afternoon at the hotel.
7. Day
Flores - Tikal - Caves Branch (Belize)
After breakfast, departure to "Parque Nacional de Tikal", one of the largest and most famous centers of Mayan culture in the so-called classic period. A tour of the Central and Northern acropolis, the temple of the "Great Jaguar" and the "Temple of the Masks", as well as the highest Mayan temple in all of Mesoamerica, which is "Templo IV" with a height of more than 70 m, monkeys and toucans in the treetops create an unforgettable atmosphere. During the tour, you cannot miss a visit to the oldest part of this "Lost World" site or the Q complex, which was dedicated to the deities of the underworld. From there, the possibility of lunch at a local restaurant and transfer to the Cave Branch reserve in Belize. The area is famous for its huge cave system. Accommodation at the hotel and rest. Possibility of an optional botanical trip. The hotel is located in a building with lush vegetation and is worth exploring.
8. Day
Cave Branch - Bacalar (Mexico)
After breakfast at the hotel, we will board an off-road truck trailer that will take us closer to the system. On the way, we will pass extensive orange plantations, which are one of the main agricultural crops in Belize. At the entrance to the cave system, we will receive helmets and inflatable tubes from the cars, on which we will float through part of this cave system. Take waterproof shoes or sandals with you - a beautiful experience of sailing in the caves awaits you. A simple lunch in the cave. From there, we will return to our bus and continue visiting the last country of our trip, which is Mexico. In the afternoon, arrival at the hotel and accommodation. Possibility of swimming in the Bacalar lagoon.

Bacalar - Hotel Riviera Maya
In the morning after breakfast, departure towards the Bacalar lagoon. Locals say that it is the “lagoon of 7 colors”, because depending on the depth of the water, it changes its color from turquoise blue to dark green. We will spend approximately 2-3 hours at the lagoon and there is the possibility of swimming. Then we will have lunch at a local stylish restaurant and from there transfer to the All Inclusive hotel.
